Toplofikacia Sofia EAD will start phasing in the heating in Sofia by the end of the week
Toplofikacia Sofia EAD will start the gradual general start-up of the heating in the capital by the end of the week. According to Ordinance № Е-РД-04-1 of March 12, 2020 on the Heat Supply of the Minister of Energy, the general switching on of the heating in Sofia can start after three consecutive days with an average daily temperature lower than + 12 ° C and a long-term forecast for permanent cold for the next 7-10 days. NIMH data show that the requirements will be met by the end of this week.
The supply of heat will start from the customers supplied by Thermal power plant "Iztok", and then to all Household and commercial customers supplied by the other heating plants.
Immediately after the completion of the urgent repair of the gas transmission network by the state system operator Bulgartransgaz EAD, Toplofikatsiya Sofia will start supplying heat to the areas served by Thermal power plant "Sofia", Heating Source "Zemlyane" and Heating Source "Lyulin".
Before starting the heating, it is important for customers to complete all repairs to the internal installations and to fill them in if they are drained. Heating will not be included in buildings where the internal heating system is not filled.
We remind customers to open the radiator valves as much as possible in order to avoid additional deaeration of the radiators. It is also important to check the displays of the electronic partitioning devices mounted on the radiators. In case of an irregularity, customers should contact their heat accountant.
